The Art LAb Team

I was born in Germany and moved to Seattle in 2013.

After receiving a masters degree in education, math and visual arts I worked as a teacher in Brazil, Africa, Germany and USA. In 2016 

I realized my life long dream to open ANNA'S ART LAB.

As an artist myself I enjoy sharing my ideas and inspirations with others. Everyday again I am fascinated by what art can do for personal growth and development.

Mackenzie got to know the Art Lab through her daughter who is attending the preschool drop in and little artists classes. The Art Lab became her happy place and she first started volunteering in some classes.

Art is her passion. Growing up she spent many hours in her mothers art studio herself. Today she is a teacher at Anna's Art Lab and shares her creativity with students of all ages. 

Shirin started taking painting classes with Anna and is loving it. She is fluent in English and Persian. She enjoys painting, craft and doing pottery. She is constantly involved with Childhood Education Programs around the world with UNICEF and has been also working with Preschoolers in school settings for more than 10 years. 

Jasmyn is a local artist and recent graduate of Kirkland's Lake Washington Institute of Technology. She has experience both volunteering and working as an art instructor for summer camps and various digital arts classes at local studios. She is always looking for more opportunities to spread the joy of artistic self expression to others.

Makayla started as a student at Anna's Art Lab in 2019. 

She likes all forms of art, including pottery, painting, drawing and crochet. 

She enjoys helping students and hopes to open her own crochet business one day.

Zahra has known Anna for almost 5 years, first taking art classes herself and then volunteering at her camps and workshops. Today she is studying Illustration at Ringling College of Art and Design. "I am always excited to come back to work at Anna's Art Lab again!"

Zahira started as a student at the Art Lab and has known Anna for almost 5 years. She loves working on the pottery wheel and is an artist with her baking business Zz's Bakery and won the "Disney Magic Bake Off" with her creative cake designs. She loves sharing her creative skills with children and is now a volunteer at Anna's Art Lab.

Annika discovered the Art Lab through her younger sister who often attends camps and classes. She is current student at the University of Washington and is studying psychology and education. She loves to create through many artistic styles, especially watercolor, and enjoys helping students express their creativity through art.

Gloria is a bilingual art teacher. Her teaching subjects include acrylic painting, watercolor, sketching, digital art, crayon, marker drawing, etc . She has a deep passion for art and extensive experience as an art teacher. She keeps creating new artworks and covers a wide range of topics such as portrait, landscape, character design, and background design.
